Job Description:

A Global organisation supplying Business and Financial information, Financial Markets knowledge and Technology solutions seek an experienced HR Manager to join a Global division within their London offices on a Fixed Term basis.

Position Overview:

The role is dedicated to providing specific consultative and operational support to management teams and line managers related to the people and organization issues impacting their business unit within a specific country. You will be responsible for the execution of country specific HR operational plans and HR roadmap for the business units, working with Global HR Business partners, specialist COEs and HR Operations to deliver HR solutions.

  • Lead regional level HR activity (organisation design, appointments, reductions in force) for the business unit in support of the company integration plan.
  • Work with local Business Unit management teams to translate business needs into HR requirements and working environment
  • Identify the region level organisational capabilities required to support the execution of the business strategy
  • Acts as a consultant most frequently on issues related to change management, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations
  • Execute on all regional related HRM programs/HR Roadmap including leadership development, PMAT, talent management, workforce planning, compensation planning, organization development, Reward & Recognition and Awards of Excellence
  • Lead local employee relations issues and legal investigations on behalf of the business
  • Responsible for implementing initiatives at the regional business unit level and may support the design of specialized or customized training, communications, and recruiting
  • Lead the regional level workforce planning and effectively manage the staffing process to ensure talent needs and diversity considerations are fulfilled
  • "Broker" of services between specialized internal groups (eg Reward) and the business;
  • Develop close relationships with the Ask HR function to determine and implement the relevant operating model (distribution of work) for the local business unit
  • Work with regional HR Operations group to ensure effective and aligned delivery of operational HR service
  • Partner with business to implement the a talent signature process, align to talent requirements within respective local units
  • Implement region level engagement strategy/plan using employee feedback (eg employee surveys, focus groups, etc).
  • Partner with management teams to build capability of managers, including implementation of change management and team effectiveness solutions
  • Counsel managers on compensation related decisions and the Company's pay for performance philosophy
  • Work with internal communications to ensure alignment between internal communications and local people strategy
  • Guide the region level business units through major change initiatives, including adoption of new processes/technology and reduction in force
  • Ensure compliance and alignment of HR actions, policies and procedures with the overall control environment within the region

Essential skills, knowledge and experience

  • HR generalist background or HR specialist with experience in relevant disciplines
  • Robust experience in managing organisational change (OD, appointments, reduction in force)
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with business and HR
  • Collaborative - able to operate effectively within Matrix environment and work in partnership HR Operations
  • Ability to give feedback and coach business managers and be a role model for business managers in terms of managing change

Desired Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Sound knowledge of the business and ability to work with business to establish HR actions and metrics to meet strategic objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate technical HR information clearly and concisely
